Woodworking Showcase Vol. 1

Custom furniture made to order in Costa Rica.

A couple weeks ago we launched a new channel on YouTube called Spanglish in Costa Rica. Our goal is to begin posting weekly videos about our projects from Custom Furniture Costa Rica, as well as videos in Spanish and English about other businesses and services in our area.

Woodworking Showcase Vol. 1

This is one of the first videos we posted to the channel. It is a compilation of our most recent projects. Without further ado:

The video features one of my favorite songs of all time by an old band that was popular when I was still living in Kentucky, Victory at Sea. In it you can watch woodworking in action in a clip with our owner, Andres, and his brother Adrian. The brothers are hard at work on a custom wood installation for a Volkswagen minibus. You can just barely see the minibus parked behind them while they staple the fabric cover over the cushions.

Other projects in the video include some of the beds we have made, a bookshelf shaped like a tree, and some very elegant palate wood creations.

We have more videos on the way for our channel, including a video about children’s furniture and a video on remodeling an old house in the center of San Jose.

About Me

When I was 15 I got my first job working at a marmolería. It was hard, dusty work! But I got the chance to learn many things. I fell in love with woodworking and for many years it was my dream to own my own woodworking business. I started Custom Furniture Costa Rica in 2015 and it has given me the chance to live my dream and so much more. I’m Andres Zamora, and this is my art and my passion.
